I always go straight to the korean hotdog spot but passed the is and wanted to try it. The food looks so good. I like that it is a food court style so you can try the different dishes from various stalls. Iordered the small chicken with cabbage and it was not small it was pretty decent sized.

My family and I enjoy eating there, but it's located a bit too far from National City. It would be convenient to have a branch in the Plaza Bonita mall food court.

When I went to buy groceries at Hmart Balboa, I was hungry, so I tried the combo pork katsu with udon and extra rice. It was so heavy and good. That’s why I prefer getting it to go, I knew I wouldn’t be able to finish it. I didn’t even finish my plate, but it was worth it! It’s a good place to sit and eat, and the server was nice and approachable. To be honest, I wish they would use less seasoning for the udon, it was too salty. But the katsu and salad were delicious!

I ordered curry chicken. It includes big portion of chicken cutlet, curry sauce, miso soup, rice, and cabbage salad. It is quite filling.

I quite enjoy their udon and miso soup here. The miso soup is served extra hot and delicious and a small serving will fill you up quickly. However, if you do have room for more, their large miso soup is worth getting. The udon comes with fishcake, and crab meat, a delicious addition to the hot and comforting soup. The noodles are thick and chewy and the broth is clean. A bowl of udon here will definitely fill you up.

We completed our shopping at H Mart and wanted food. I specifically wanted udon and KZ Mori was the only stall that had udon. The bowl was reasonable at $10.99, you could also make it a combo meal to add chicken katsu. I got just the udon bowl and got the Mixed Katsu Combo for $19.99 that came with pork and chicken curry as well as salad and soup. The udon satisfied my craving with the right amount of protein. It wasn’t crazy beef, it was more fish based. It was a light meal. The katsu combo was delicious. I loved the strong curry aroma and the flavor was bold. We asked for more spice afterwards and they added an additional level. My fiancé liked the chicken and I liked the pork. Both were juicy, thin and crispy. I wished they swapped the portion size and gave more rice than salad. Service was quick. We were given a beeper and seated ourselves. The food hall was getting crowded. We sat at the edge of a 6 seat person table. A fella asked to share table and he sat at the end. Afterwards, we brought the tray to the counter.

Nestled inside San Diego’s Hmart at Vista Balboa Center, KZ Mori offers a vibrant food court experience that invites you to explore a variety of Korean-inspired dishes in one place. This spot is a haven for those who enjoy hearty, comforting meals packed with authentic flavors and generous portions. Whether you're craving crispy curry chicken, a satisfying pork katsu with udon, or a steaming bowl of thick, chewy udon noodle soup with fishcake and crab meat, KZ Mori delivers. The miso soup here stands out with its bold, piping-hot character, perfect as a starter or a light meal on its own.

What truly impressed me is the balance between comfort and portion size. Dishes aren’t just flavorful—they’re filling, making it a great destination for a substantial lunch or dinner during your shopping trip at Hmart. The chicken curry, accompanied by cabbage salad and rice, comes in a portion generous enough to satisfy even the heartiest appetites. While the udon broth tends to lean on the saltier side, the impeccable texture of the noodles and fresh seafood additions make up for it. The crispness of the pork katsu and the freshness of the accompanying salad elevate the dish to something more than just a typical quick meal.

What adds to the experience is the friendly service and casual atmosphere, making it a relaxed spot to enjoy a hot meal. The food court style encourages trying different dishes across stalls, enhancing the communal dining vibe. While some patrons note the location’s distance from National City, the quality and comfort of KZ Mori’s offerings more than make up for the trip.

In sum, KZ Mori inside San Diego Hmart is a must-visit for those craving authentic Korean flavors and satisfying portions in a convenient food court setting. Its thoughtful combination of crunchy, savory, and warming dishes leaves a lasting impression and keeps customers coming back for more.
